The Exile

This is Vieng Phavongkham, the drummer of The Exile, reaching out to all of our fans with an essential update. Our long-awaited Homecoming concert in Laos, which we planned two years ago, had to be postponed due to the worldwide impact of COVID-19.

We were hopeful about rescheduling the event for this November, but unfortunately, various challenges have hindered our plans. To all our fans who made their way to Laos expecting to see us perform, we deeply apologize and hope you still enjoy the beauty of our homeland.

We had initially planned to release some special, previously unheard recordings from our 1994 second LP, “Heaven or Hell,” at the concert. These tracks, which were close to being signed off by the Grammy Record Company, have been kept under wraps until now.

In a thrilling turn of events, these recordings, along with some from our “Homeland” LP, were featured in our Thai LP titled “The Exile,” which was released in 1996. As the music industry continues to evolve, we’ve decided to take a modern approach to share these songs. We are starting by releasing them on Facebook, including a cover design we created three years ago. We plan to release more tracks in the near future.

We want to express our immense gratitude for the unwavering support and patience our fans have shown us over the years. Your enthusiasm and loyalty are what keep us going.
